LevertonHELM and Jedro Lithium deepen cooperation for production of Lithium Hydroxide Monohydrate
LevertonHELM and Jedro Lithium proudly announce the deepening of their strategic collaboration aimed at strengthening Europe’s lithium supply chain in support of the continent’s energy transition, electrified mobility, and renewable energy storage.
UK-based LevertonHELM and Croatian-based Jedro Lithium plan to cooperate in the production of Lithium Hydroxide Monohydrate (LiOH·H₂O), with a strong emphasis on the use of recycled Lithium Carbonate and Lithium Sulphate as feedstock. This reinforces their shared commitment to sustainable innovation and to establishing a stable European supply system for battery-grade lithium hydroxide — a core component of lithium-ion batteries powering electric vehicles and clean-energy technologies.
“Both LevertonHELM and Jedro bring a wealth of industry experience and technical capability unmatched by any other European lithium company,” explains Stephen Elgueta Wallis, Executive Vice President, Energy Materials at HELM AG.
Through the planned collaboration, LevertonHELM will benefit from Jedro’s lithium refinery in Croatia and its experienced operating team. LevertonHELM contributes its commercial strength, R&D and production expertise, and global logistics capabilities, ensuring robust market access and operational excellence.
“Together, we aim to become Europe’s preferred lithium partner to the battery and EV industry, combining our complementary lithium specialties,” states Aleksandar Devčić, CEO of Jedro Lithium.
