At Jedro Lithium, sustainability is a comprehensive principle that extends beyond environmental protection and encompasses responsible governance, local impact, economic development, and long-term transparency. Our sustainability strategy is built on four core pillars designed to deliver lasting value.
Environmental Responsibility
Our technology is based on a closed-loop water circuit that minimizes water consumption and eliminates wastewater discharge to the environment. Advanced air purification systems further minimize emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere.
We use Mechanical Vapor Recompression (MVR), a modern energy-saving technology that significantly reduces energy consumption in our production process by reusing the energy of process vapor.
Social Responsibility and Community Engagement
We invest in development initiatives that benefit the Lika region and Gospić, also we support local sports clubs, cultural organizations, and humanitarian events. Our aim is to create long-term value through meaningful community partnerships.
Economic Impact
Over 100 jobs are expected during the construction phase, with more than 70 permanent positions once operations begin. We promote professional development through education and training programs to build local skills and retain young talent.
Transparent Governance and Regulatory Alignment
Jedro Lithium is equally committed to transparent and ethical corporate governance. We are already preparing for key upcoming EU frameworks such as the EU Taxonomy for Sustainable Activities and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
Our project has been validated by EKONERG in March 2024, confirming our alignment with advanced environmental and technological criteria. Their report highlighted our eco-friendly practices and low impact on Croatia’s unique ecology.
Our goal is to align with ESG standards and develop a robust sustainability reporting system for the long term because we believe industrial growth and environmental protection must go hand in hand.
